Intervention

Drug addicts will rarely take the first step to enter rehab. We commonly say that an addict has to "bottom out" before they really understand the need to enter treatment. This can be dangerous, because this "bottoming out" is actually death. Before death happens, the addicts' loved ones need to take some action to help the addict understand the need for treatment. This is what we call "intervention". We, in fact, are trying to "intervene" in the addict's life.

We at Shore Break Drug Rehab are trying to help them make the decision to enter treatment. This intervention may be the only way an addict will make that choice. Don't let the addict wait to decide on his or her own, because it may never happen. Take the initiative. Seek help from a professional. An intervention may be the last thing you do to get your loved one into treatment to save their life.
